Bowhunting in Idaho
Every state has annual hunting and trapping handbooks available to hunters, that summarize important regulations all hunters should know before going on a hunt. Here are a few specific regulations pertaining to hunting with archery equipment in Idaho.
- It is illegal to hunt big game with any bow that has a peak draw weight of less than 40 pounds up to or at a draw weight of 28 inches.
- It is illegal to use any arrows that have expanding, mechanical, or barbed broadheads.
- It is illegal to use any electronic or tritium-powered device when hunting big game.
