Wheellock Muzzleloader

Though the wheellock was invented in the 16th century, its use did not become popular until much later. This firearm still used a flash pan for priming, though the firing mechanism is completely different. When the trigger was pulled on the wheellock, this would release a spring-wound steel wheel, making it spin against a stone made of pyrite-iron. When the two rubbed together, this made a shower of sparks which would ignite the powder in the flash pan.
