Use of Optical Equipment in Hunting

Remember one of the firearm safety rules - NEVER point a firearm at anything you don't want to shoot. Keeping that in mind, a hunter should NEVER use a firearm's telescopic sight for any reason other than aiming the firearm.

There are many different types of optical equipment available on the market to help hunters search for game. Binoculars or spotting scopes are good and safe choices when in the field.

Practice using your optical equipment to scan the horizon, focusing on game as well as what is in front of and beyond the game.
