New Mexico Hunter Safety Course

Wildlife Identification

Wildlife identification is important to hunters. State Game and Fish agencies want to make sure the correct animals are harvested, animals are taken legally and hunters remain safe when in the field. As a responsible hunter you must learn to recognize key characteristics of each game animal prior to your hunt.
