Chapter 4: Hunting Techniques

Unlike hunting with a firearm, a crossbow hunter must get very close to game before he or she can take an ethical and proper shot.  As such, crossbow hunters must possess skills in both stealth and tracking, so that they can locate and sneak up on the animal they are hunting. In this chapter we will explore different techniques a hunter can use to hunt game. Not all techniques are effective in all situations.

As you learn these different hunting techniques, always keep in mind the rules and guidelines of crossbow hunting safety. Always mind your surroundings, know where your hunting companions are, and properly identify your target, as well as what is in front and behind it, before attempting a shot.
