Nova Scotia Crossbow Safety Course

The number one thing you can do to prevent treestand accidents is to always wear and properly use a Fall Arrest System/ Full Body Harness that meets TMA standards, also referred to as a FAS/FBH. ALWAYS use a FAS/FBH that distributes your weight throughout your shoulders, chest, wait, and legs.

Failure to properly use a FAS/FBH could result in serious injury or death. If you do not have a FAS/FBH, hunt from the ground.

Single strap belts and chest harnesses are no longer allowed and should not be used.
